| Placement Exams
All incoming freshmen and eligible transfer students are required to take a placement exam in mathematics and English. The results of these tests determine appropriate course placement and assist us in developing plans for your academic support. Placement Exams are offered: Fridays December 4-18th January 18-22, 2010 Placement exams are not pass-fail tests, and you do not need to study for them since they are designed to measure your current knowledge and abilities. However, if you wish to prepare for the test, you may visit www.act.org/compass/sample. Even though the test is untimed, please allow at least two hours to complete it. The exam will stop on its own once it has determined the appropriate placement for you based on your answers. You must complete the test to receive a score. After sitting for the exam, you will work with an advisor to make your schedule. Please plan to be on campus for 3-4 hours. International Student Orientation All new international students (F-1, J-1) are required to register for Orientation on either January 20th or 22nd from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m Please attend orientation on the campus listed on your I-20 or DS-2019.
