Before any appointment scheduling can begin, it is necessary to configure the service that will be managing it. Think about it as a new phone answering machine — it cannot greet callers with a personalized message until the machine is properly set up by its owner. Let's set it up!
Service Schedule Setup
Simply said, Schedule is an electronic representation of service with its appointment calendar. Generally, AppointmentQuest recommends establishing separate schedules for each type of service offered to your customers.
There are quite a few configuration settings that are applicable to a schedule (too many to list them all as a part of this tour) but one of the properties deserves attention: Schedule Type
There are two types of schedules supported by Online Appointment Scheduler: Capacity and Personnel. The main difference between the two is in a way they allow appointments to be scheduled in relationship to the service personnel (described later on in this tour).
